This comedy show features Latinx comedians along with other diverse performers for a night of storytelling and laughter! Some of these comedians have appeared in comedy festivals such as the Burbank Comedy Festival, the Oddball Comedy Festival, and Comedy Central’s Open Mic Fight to name a few. They have also opened for the likes of Paul Rodriguez, Craig Shoemaker, and Dom Irrera. Aside from stand-up comedy, some of our talent has also worked in radio, TV, and film. Mariannette Torres
For over 25 years, native Philadelphian Mariannette ‘La Puppet” has been ripping the stages across the USA with her unique style of character humor. A professional actress, poet, producer, promoter and stand-up comedian, this Jill of All Trades has featured for some of comedy’s legends like Craig Shoemaker, Dom Irrera and Paul Rodriguez to name a few. A Top Finalist for Florida’s Funniest Female she won the 2010 Talent Rock Comedy competition as well as Florida Seminole Casino’s 2015 Comedian’s Ball. La Puppet is definitely one to watch!
Aniria Turney
As the daughter of a Puerto Rican mom and a Salvadoran dad living in the South, Aniria lives the “Cultural Bermuda Triangle” daily! Having moved here from El Salvador at the age of 6, the culture shock and the pleasing of 3 cultural expectations lingers in her witty observations. Because she started her passion for stand up later in life, it quickly became therapy that helped her get through a divorce and juggling a new dating life with raising kids. Now remarried, her repertoire has expanded.Her comedy expresses the “in your face” truths about cultural differences, dating, kids, sex and how men and women relate.
Aside from stand up, Aniria is also an actor. She got her first break in the Netflix film “Naked” with Marlon Wayans. Other TV credits include NBC’s Chicago Med and Hulu’s The Act with Patricia Arquette. She was also voted Tampa Bay’s 2017 Best Up and Coming Comic by Creative Loafing and she performed this year at the Burbank Comedy Festival.
Tony Gaud
Tony is a veteran comedian and actor with a laidback demeanor, a devil-may-care grin and stories that leave the audience filled with guilty laughter. As a working-class comedy Jedi, he navigates the subject of life with great effect on a personal level. He has toured nationally with legends such as Jackie Mason and Harland Williams. Tony cut his teeth in the early 2000’s as House M.C. of the Tampa Improv for 7 years. Along with appearing in numerous television commercials such as CBS Sportsline, The Melting Pot and Peerfit, to name a few; In 2007 he was a semi-finalist in Yuk Yuk’s Great Canadian Laugh Off as well as Regional Contender in Comedy Central’s Open Mic Fight.. Tony is also a filmmaker, whose credits include the short comedy documentary, Pizza and Pineapples, Peace Bastard, (Top 5 Short Screenplay at the New York Television & Film Festival (2016); and the low-budget, horror/comedy, Billy’s Got A Bad Brain.
Pat Largo
From Lawn maintenance, bag boy, produce worker, construction temp, a security guard for one fight to delivery & hotel shuttle driver. That was just in one year! All that was somehow a springboard to being a sixteen year radio personality, struggling actor and finally, a stand up comedian! Pat Largo likes a lot of things, however loves one thing. Making YOU laugh and entertaining the audiences he performs in front of!
Pat has interviewed some of the greats in comedy like Dave Attell, Wanda Sykes, Bill Burr and Larry The Cable Guy to name a few. He can also be seen on a local morning show, Daytime on Ch. 8 WFLA discussing current events and promoting whatever is going on in Tampa Bay.
